Framed Textile. Green Ceramic Frame. Including frame is 17 ½ by 16 ¼ inches. An early representation of Hannah Rivkah Hermanns Leviathan (the legendary sea-monster from the Book of Job, Psalms, and Isaiah) surrounding the Cave of the Patriarchs. A very nice example of folk-art from the pre-Mandate Jeruselum. This copy may have been made by the original artist, or may be a later version from the artists lifetime.
